Advantages of Direct Patient Care

Faster Access

Most routine appointments can often be accommodated within the same week or the following week, depending on availability.

Appointments That Are Not Rushed

Visit length is based on the time needed to address your concerns rather than an insurance-driven schedule.

More Time With the Doctor

Perfect Skin MD limits the number of patients seen each day so Dr. Schroeder can provide focused, face-to-face care.

Physician-Led Care

Your dermatology evaluation and treatment are performed by Dr. Susan Schroeder, a board-certified dermatologist with fellowship training in cosmetic and surgical dermatology.

Transparent Pricing

You know what your visit or procedure will cost before moving forward, reducing the risk of unexpected bills months later.

More Treatment Flexibility

Treatment decisions can be based on your medical needs and goals rather than the limitations of an insurance network.

What Does Direct Patient Care Mean?

Direct Patient Care means Perfect Skin MD is paid directly by the patient rather than billing an insurance carrier for the physician's services. There are no insurance co-pays, network restrictions, or delayed insurance statements for services provided by Dr. Schroeder.

This is not a concierge membership program. You do not pay an ongoing membership fee simply to access the practice. Instead, you pay for the visit or procedure you receive.

For some patients, particularly those with high-deductible plans, direct-pay dermatology may also make costs easier to understand before care is provided.

How the Direct Care Model Works

  1. Choose the visit length that fits your needs. The fee schedule below provides general guidance.
  2. Schedule directly with Perfect Skin MD. You do not need to wait for an insurance referral.
  3. Review fees before treatment. Additional procedure fees are discussed when applicable.
  4. Pay at the time of service. Medical, surgical, and cosmetic office visits are paid directly to Perfect Skin MD.

Important insurance information: Perfect Skin MD is a direct-pay medical practice and does not participate with Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, or private medical insurance for physician services. Medicare beneficiaries must sign the required private contract before receiving services. Insurance may still apply separately to outside services such as laboratory testing, pathology, prescription medications, or imaging, depending on your individual coverage.

Scheduling and Payment

You may book an appointment online or contact Perfect Skin MD for scheduling assistance.

A credit card on file or another approved payment arrangement may be required when scheduling. Some longer cosmetic or surgical appointments may require a deposit because extended physician time is reserved specifically for you.

Perfect Skin MD accepts cash, debit cards, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Checks are not accepted at this time.
